Oil products tend to take much longer to dry, they can be cleaned and thinned with turpentine, and are inter-mixable with other oil based products. Oil based products are fantastic for blending, creating gradients with ease.

    <p>Daler Rowney Oil based block printing colour  for all high pressuring techniques including woodcut and lino cut. It is ideal for works on paper and cardboard and for over printing. This product is more durable than Daler Rowney water based alternative but the drying time is much longer. All colours can be mixed together to achieve professional results.</p>
  • Daler Rowney Georgian Water-Mixable
    <p>This amazing new product bridges the gap between acrylics and oils, taking all the benefits from each medium and combining them into one fantastic solution. They don't quite dry as fast as acrylics but certainly quicker than oil, giving you plenty of time to mix and blend your colours. Being water mixable means you can wash your brushes out in water and also thin your colours with water. Daler Rowney have produced a fantastic range of colours to choose from including box sets to get you started. The pigment quality is above student standard but without the hefty price tag. An ideal medium for all skill levels.</p>

    <p>Available in 48 colours spread across 2 series of pigment grades. Winsor & Newton Alkyd oil paints dry very quickly allowing the artist to work more productively on a single painting. It has all the benefits of both oil and acrylic making this type of media fantastic to work with. Griffin alkyd oil's have a slighty greater level of transparency for better depth, they are slight more fluid than traditional oils and dry with a slight glaze. You can use this product on any surface which accepts an oil based paint, this includes canvas, paper, board e.t.c. Alkyd oil can be mixed with ordinary oil paint, doing so will alter the time at which the product dries depending on how much of each type of paint you have mixed together.</p>
